"Huge milestone today! I am so excited to announce the first Photo Sale from our 'Save the Breed' fundraiser!

A big thank you to Charlie (our former AWSC Webmaster!) for kicking things off by purchasing this great shot from the recent hunt test. It’s wonderful to see someone who has contributed so much to this breed over the years still helping us secure its future.

Every single dollar of profit from these photo sales goes directly toward health testing and genetics research for our American Water Spaniels.

Profits from AWS photos at AWSC events will be donated to the AWSC Health & Genetics - with special tag to the “save the Breed” category.

The goal is to raise money to encourage new puppy owners to keep their dogs intact for the first two years - and to have their health Clearances performed at that time - to help determine if their pup is a good canadate for being a stud dog or posiblaly even a breeding female. Goal of the money is to help support the costs of such Health Clearance Tests.

Having more testing done, with results sent to the AKC - will help track the breed’s health trends as well - giving us a better idea of where we are doing well, and what we need to focus on as concerns within the breed in general.
